In November, the Chamber received a four star accreditation.

As 2015 comes to a close I have taken time to reflect on the great things that took place this past year with the Lewisville Area Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber hosted an outstanding Annual Awards Luncheon where we honored our outstanding volunteers. A dynamic Women Leading Business Conference took place in May inspiring area businesswomen to identify and use their super power. Several businessmen and women enjoyed a great day on the golf course at this year’s Annual Golf Classic. We had our first exclusive Major Investor outing on Lake Lewisville. The Chamber rounded out the year with the Discover Local Business & Community Expo, which drew a record crowd and provided a great, family-friendly environment for the community.

The success of the events above is enough to fill anyone’s heart with pride, but ours did not stop there. Over a period of nine months chamber staff worked with diligent volunteers to gather and compile information to apply for accreditation. In November, the Chamber received a four star accreditation. This designation, bestowed by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, places the Lewisville Area Chamber among the top three percent of chambers in the country. Proud does not even begin to express my emotional state.

I would be remiss, however, if I did not recognize the board leadership, volunteers and members who helped the Chamber exceed its goals.

Our success would not have been possible without the guidance of the board of directors, committee chairs, committee members, and especially you, our members.

Looking ahead to what is on the horizon for 2016, I envision continued growth and success for chamber events and programs. We are introducing new, fun elements to several events and invite you to participate.

On Tuesday, February 2, 2016, the Lewisville Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting its Annual Awards Luncheon, “The Stars Align,” at the Courtyard Marriott in Grapevine. The Chamber is pleased to announce the Honorable Senator Jane Nelson as our keynote speaker at the luncheon. Our special thanks to CoServ for being our Speaker Sponsor.

We have so much to celebrate. The Chamber will recognize our outstanding members for their service to the Chamber and the community. We will also celebrate the Chamber’s designation as a Four Star Accredited Chamber, hence our theme, “The Stars Align.”

The luncheon provides businesses with an opportunity to network with other large and small businesses in the community and promote their brand as a sponsor of the event. New this year, the Chamber has added a Wine Pull Fundraiser. Benefits and recognition opportunities vary based on the sponsorship level. Sponsorships begin at $150.

We look forward to celebrating with you in 2016.
